a poem to Mother Earth

Happy Mother's Day, Mother Earth

a poem...
We are the future, the present and past
No more pollution in the air from gas
Fix this by using a hybrid car
even carpooling will get you far

Do not leave the water on
Or our water will be gone
Do not take longer showers
Save some water for the flowers

Recycle ever paper, no matter what you do
Items recycled can be made into something new
Reuse bags when you go the the store
These are rules you can't ignore

Follow these tips and you'll be okay
Trust me, your grandchildren will thank you someday
Just think of everything you can save
And all the help to our world you gave!

Beautiful poem, Maria. I hope your language arts teacher gives you the A you deserve! Or else..... ;-)

Hey girls! I just read a fantastic YA book, published back in 1953, called Mara, Daughter of the Nile. It is set in ancient Egypt and it follows the adventures of a slave-turned spy teenager in the court of Queen Hatshepsut. It is one of the Thea's top 5 books and I am giving it a 10 in my upcoming review. I think you will both like it.
